I enjoyed this series, overall it was nice and it gave me the warm and fuzzies, I will be reading it again in the future.So now on to the Griff’s and Joshua’s book Griff is the owner of Griff’s bar his customers love him so do his friends and brother, he comes across as a bit reserved and a bit of grump, well mostly when a certain flirty dude bro named Josh is around. Josh just loves to tease Griff and give him cute nicknames like Grumpy G. Josh seems to be all about Grindr and his endless hookups that seem to ruffle the crap out of Griff’s feathers. Hmm I wonder why.In the story we get to see Griff discover himself a bit and we learn that he is demisexual and has been struggling for years with his sexuality and wondering if there was something wrong with him. It was really nice getting to see a different side to the strong supportive big brother and loyal friend. (Well it also turned out to be journey for me to because I realize the term demisexual fits me quite well and it’s great to know that nothing its wrong with me either!)The chemistry between the MCs was always there and they seem to be the only clueless ones well, them and Law and Knox lol, but it was always crackling under that surface just waiting for its time to burst free and my gawd it did and it was beautiful, sexy and vibrant!!We also learn that there is a lot more to Josh than meets the eye, the thing with his first love was a bit much in my opinion. However Josh was able to heal and let go of his past and fully give himself to Griff.This book was a great way to end the series and it brought everything Full Circle. (See what I did there who knows knows…ugh cheesey) I was hesitant about this finale to a very good series but somewhere around the 25% mark I could not stop reading. By then author Riley Hart had given us all we needed to know about the impossibility of Griff and Josh getting together because of their personal business.They were friends in a casual way, always teasing each other, mostly in Griff's bar where they were usually joined by the protagonists of the previous books: Griff's brother Kellan (Josh's best friend) and his fiance Chase, who is Griff's best friend; the younger couple Lawson & Remy, who could never seem to keep their eyes or hands off each other; and Knox the bear and Callum the beauty, who were just into the status of dad-and-uncle. Also along for the ride is everyone's BBF Natalie who has a big surprise for most of the gang, including a potential new boyfriend right in their midst.Then Ms. Hart throws us a few twists that shatter both Griff and Josh in ways that may eventually bring tears to your eyes--but not before some very well set up and explored incidents take place in which they start to grow out of their early 30's childishness. Griff has always been considered straight to his friends and brother, but he's still not sure who he is; and Josh is well known as a Grindr devotee but usually never hooks up with anyone who lives in close proximity to their small Virginia town of Havenwood.Beyond that they expose their deepest secrets to each other--well, almost, because each leaves an important detail out. Then they proceed into a scorching friends-with-benefits relationship that leaves them thinking they're doing a good job of keeping it a secret when everyone else suspects they are up to all sorts of things behind Josh's closed doors.Just when it looks like they cannot make up their minds how to turn this into either a HEA or HFN or failed relationship one of them comes to the conclusion that he has to deal with what has been holding him down from his past. No spoilers, but let me tell you if you do not start shedding a tear or two when this happens you are not alive.This is a brilliant ending to an exceptionally entertaining series in which every single character comes across as human, and the group to which they belong becomes one which you would love to become a part of.Bravo!
